L'running instructor is a professional figure increasingly required to approach running correctly and draw all the benefits from this discipline or to improve their results when passion drives them to seek constant improvement in their performance.
Become running instructor allows you to pass on your knowledge on techniques related to the world of running having the certainty of not making mistakes to your friends or running mates, as in my case, or even, to those who wish, it allows you to offer your services for a fee, turning your passion into a profession.
In this article I will explain how to become a running instructor, also telling you about the path that I myself am following and that for now has allowed me to achieve the qualification of RunLEADER.
The role of FIDAL in the practice of running
If you search Google like "running instructor”, “running instructor”, “running coach"Or similar keywords you will get different results related to courses organized by professionals or sports associations that often offer the opportunity to acquire interesting and useful knowledge for the practice of running but which have no" official status ".
In fact thesingle reference body recognized for the practice of the discipline of running (which is part of Athletics) in Italy is the FIDAL (Italian Federation of Athletics).
There FIDAL is a body established democratically by the representatives of the sports associations affiliated to it and is part of both the international athletics bodies (the World Athletics, formerly known as IAAF, International Association of Athletics Federations, or the World Federation, and theIT'S AT, European Athletics, the European association), both of CONI (Italian National Olympic Committee), the Confederation of Italian National Sports Federations.
FIDAL is therefore the only body that can issue diplomas and qualifications recognized by our system.
The need to define a responsible body, as it is easy to imagine, is dictated by the need to ensure the teaching of techniques, methodologies and other scientifically verified knowledge and not simply dictated by the experience of a single "enthusiast".
The #RUNACADEMY project for running coaches
#RUNACADEMY is a project of FIDAL (Italian Federation of Athletics) e Runcard with the collaboration of Sports School and of Italian Running School, created to train, qualify and subsequently update running operators.
The recipients of the courses are those who already work in running groups, or aspire to do so, and who do not have the opportunity to carry out the traditional training course of athletics coaches, which requires a ISEF diploma or one Degree in Sports Sciences.
The goal is to ensure, in a similar way to what is already happening abroad, the training of a qualified professional figure who will be able to operate in amateur running groups, within associations and clubs, but also in fitness gyms. .
The #RUNACADEMY path to become RunLEADER, RunTRAINER and RunCOACH
THE #RUNACADEMY qualified training courses shared by FIDAL and the CONI School of Sport, provide for the achievement of three levels of qualification:

It is the ideal qualification for those who want to lead a group of runners organizing outings and workouts and for all those who for passion or for work wish to deepen their specific knowledge about running.
2nd level - RunTRAINER: is the course aimed at graduates in physical education, 1st level FIDAL instructors (1st level SNAQ) and runners, operators in the world of fitness, personal trainers, who have already undertaken the #RunAcademy training and obtained the RunLeader for at least a year.

My personal experience of RunLEADER #RUNACADEMY
Last year I enrolled in the #RUNACADEMY training course, obtaining the 1st level of RunLEADER qualification and my overall impression of the course was entirely positive, so much so that this year I have already enrolled in the 2nd level to acquire the RunTRAINER qualification.
I liked the course very much as it was able to effectively combine the theoretical teachings with the practical part where the students were able to analyze their posture in running and learn how to perform various types of exercises correctly.
I also found the teachers who followed one another and who were reconfirmed in this year's edition to be very competent and well structured in the exhibition.
the coolest!)
